From the Archive - Schwartz House

A few years ago, Richard had the pleasure of photographing a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. This Usonian-themed design was initially included in the article “Dream House," a collaboration with the Architectural Forum and Life magazine. The article was based on the building of eight dream homes for income levels ranging from $2,000 - $10,000. Businessman Bernard Schwartz was keen to own a house designed by the architect and in 1939 commissioned the Life Magazine scheme in his hometown of Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
